I believe Yoga is one of the most profound ways that I can teach people how to connect the science of mind and body with the art of healing
— Dina R.

Stress, trauma, anxiety, and sadness find their way through the deepest parts of our bodies and burry themselves deep into the crevices and corners of our organs, lungs, muscles, joints and heart. These painful and overwhelming emotions can often leave you feeling disconnected from your body and your breath, which only makes things worse. Dina understands how profound the connection between emotions, body, and breath are, which is why she created a space at CMTI called the Zen Den. It is a room dedicated to the 1:1 education and training of connecting to your physical body, exploring where tough emotions are being stored, and releasing those emotions through movement of the body and breath. This concept can also be known as Somatic Therapy, which is a type of therapy that uses specific physical techniques to help release the build up of tension that is negatively affecting your physical and emotional wellbeing. While Somatic Therapy is a fairly new concept the practice of healing through movement and breath has been done through Yoga for thousands of years and the scientifically proven benefits make it one of the most effective treatments for various mental health challenges.

There is a great power that Yoga and meditation can offer people that cannot be described. It has to be experienced
