Therapy Style

Life is complex and will challenge your emotional and mental health in all sorts of unpredictable situations. As a therapist my intention is to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to talk openly and honesty. Seeking help and going to therapy can be difficult, so I make sure to create a space for you to evolve through self confidence, joy, and humor. I look forward to supporting you with creating a strong foundation for your life based on your highest values and I am honored to walk alongside you in your journey.

My experience includes working with individuals and families on effective communication, substance use, infertility, chronic health conditions, dementia, caregiver stress, coping with a serious health diagnosis, couples counseling, family dynamics, parenting, depression, anxiety, grief and end of life decision-making.

In addition to private practice I work as an ER Medical Social Worker with Kaiser. I received a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Northridge and a Master’s degree in Public Health from University California Los Angeles (UCLA). My undergraduate degree is in Psychology from University California at Berkeley. As a therapist I appreciate and work with Motivational Interviewing, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Gottman’s Couples Counseling.
