Therapy Style

There is a common thread that transcends the human experience. We all have emotions, feelings, and thoughts that can be overwhelming and painful. We can often times feel very isolated with these feelings, emotions, and thoughts as our minds do a good job of convincing us that we are alone. My role is to help you look within yourself for answers, create a space for vulnerability, find peace, and cultivate healing. The transition from child to teen and from teen to young adult is complex and a huge challenge. Having someone you trust to help guide you along the way makes all the difference in the world. My role as a therapist is to provide tools and practice looking deep within oneself for answers, experiencing and accepting your emotional capacities, and resurfacing conscious meaning and value back into your life. I believe the therapy space is a place for the you to have an honest conversation free from judgment or retribution.

In addition to individual sessions, I also facilitate conversations of understanding within a family meeting setting. I also host the teen and young adult group sessions through out the week.

I have completed a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California with an emphasis on mental health and wellness. I have furthered my education and practice in psychodynamic, trauma focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy and have worked widely with teenagers, young adults, substance use, grief, eating disorders, school and job related stress, and relationships through a culturally sensitive lens.
